Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of the Clientop.io Client Operations Infrastructure Platform by all customers, users, and their authorized personnel. By using Clientop, you agree to comply with this policy. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Permitted Uses

Clientop is designed for legitimate business use. You may use our platform to:

  • Manage client relationships, communications, and service delivery for your business
  • Coordinate team operations around client accounts and projects
  • Store, organize, and analyze client data to improve business outcomes
  • Onboard new clients through structured, automated workflows
  • Generate business reports and insights from your operational data
  • Integrate Clientop with other authorized business tools through our API

3. Prohibited Activities

3.1 Illegal and Harmful Use

  • Using the platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
  • Storing, transmitting, or processing data in violation of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Engaging in or facilitating fraud, identity theft, or financial crimes
  • Violating export control laws or sanctions
  • Using the platform to harass, threaten, or harm individuals

3.2 Technical Abuse

  • Uploading or transmitting malware, viruses, ransomware, or any malicious code
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to Clientop systems, other accounts, or third-party systems
  • Conducting denial-of-service attacks or any activity that disrupts platform availability
  • Scanning or probing our systems for vulnerabilities without written authorization
  • Using automated scraping tools without explicit permission from Clientop
  • Circumventing or attempting to bypass authentication, access controls, or security measures

3.3 Misuse of Platform Capabilities

  • Using Clientop to send unsolicited bulk communications or spam
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract our source code
  • Reselling or sublicensing access to Clientop without authorization
  • Using the platform to build competing software or conduct competitive intelligence
  • Storing content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Creating fake accounts or impersonating individuals or organizations

3.4 Data and Content Restrictions

  • Processing sensitive personal data (health, financial, biometric) without appropriate consent and safeguards
  • Storing data belonging to third parties without their authorization
  • Using the platform to manage data for purposes not disclosed to the individuals whose data is stored
  • Uploading content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or violates third-party rights

4. Resource Usage

You agree not to engage in activities that unreasonably burden or disrupt the platform infrastructure, including excessive API calls, data uploads, or system resource consumption. Clientop reserves the right to implement rate limiting or usage controls to ensure fair access for all customers.

5. User Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that all users under your account comply with this AUP. You must implement appropriate internal policies and training to prevent misuse. Any violation by a user under your account is considered a violation by you.

6. Enforcement and Consequences

Clientop reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. Depending on the severity, we may:

  • Issue a formal warning and require remediation
  • Suspend access to specific features or the entire platform
  • Terminate your account without refund for severe or repeated violations
  • Report illegal activities to appropriate law enforcement authorities
  • Pursue civil or criminal legal action where appropriate

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it immediately to support@clientop.io. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice. Continued use of Clientop constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
